PyFMI for Co-Sim: This FMU does not support get and set FMU-state

Hi!

I've been trying out PyFMI for Co-Simulation. I created some test FMUs using jModelica, but when I try to call 'get_fmu_state' on them I get the following error message:
FMUException: This FMU does not support get and set FMU-state

Does this mean jModelica-compiled FMUs do not support get/set state (which is what the message seems to imply) or that PyFMI does not (which is what I've read in a few older posts on this forum)?

I just want to test a few things, so in the former case, what modeling tool is able to create FMUs that support get/set state?

Thanks!

PyFMI for Co-Sim: This FMU does not support get and set FMU-stat

Hi,

I agree. I had the same problem with integration of JModelica generated FMU's in a Master-Simulator. In my understandung PyFMI is supporting FMUstates, but there is no code provided by JModelica compiler.

I'm not sure if there is an intention to implement this FMUstate functionality in future version?

Thanks Johann

Hi!

You're correct, I've experimented with different FMUs from different Simulators and other support FMUstate functionality in PyFMI (namely: Dymola, SimulationX and probably others).

Cheers.
